Dr. Timothy Wittig
Dr. Timothy Wittig is an international relations scholar, former defense intelligence officer, and expert on wildlife trafficking, illicit economies, and terrorist/threat finance.
Tim conceived of and currently runs the central intelligence sharing system of the United for Wildlife Taskforces, a groundbreaking program of the Royal Foundation of the Duke & Duchess of Cambridge, which - using high-level formal commitments enforced by the sharing of actionable intelligence - has mobilized 150+ of the world’s largest banks, maritime shipping companies, and airlines to take meaningful action against global wildlife trafficking. He is a founding board member and head of intelligence for Focused Conservation, and an Associate Fellow at the Royal United Services Institute (RUSI).
